Dr. Vincent M. Chiodo, MD

Dr. Vincent M. Chiodo grew up in Follansbee, WV.  He graduated Cum Laude and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology from West Virginia University in 1982. He worked as a Research Medical Technologist and supervised an Infectious Diseases Research Lab for three years before going to medical school. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from West Virginia University in 1989. He completed an Internal Medicine and Pediatrics Internship and then a Pediatric Residency at West Virginia University Hospital in 1992. Dr. Chiodo held the position of Chief Resident of Pediatrics and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at West Virginia University until 1993 when he entered private practice in Virginia. In April of 1994, Dr. Chiodo and his wife, Mary Ann, also a pediatrician, moved to Dunn, NC and established ABC Pediatrics of Dunn, PA. He shares co-ownership with Mary Ann and serves as President and CEO of ABC Pediatrics. Dr. Chiodo’’s professional affiliations include The American Academy of Pediatrics, The North Carolina Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Catholic Medical Society, The North Carolina State Medical Association, Third Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus, The Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and the Dunn Area Chamber of Commerce. He is an Adjunct Faculty Member of the Duke University Department of Community Medicine and sits on the Campbell University Physician Assistant Board of Advisors.  He also serves on the Local Advisory Board for Trust (previously known as BB&T). He and Dr Mary Ann have six children and five grandchildren. Dr. Chiodo enjoys Italian cooking, deep sea fishing, skeet shooting and spending time with his family. Dr. Chiodo’s patients know him as “Dr. Vince” and he is well known for his attention to detail.
